Its not a tunnel. It's a large hole they dug under the synagogue to expand it. (without permission from the proper management) it leads nowhere. It's just a large room. It happens to be narrow in certain places but for it to be a tunnel it has to be intentionally made to take you from point A to B.
How is this even a story it's a community dispute. It's extra stupid but not devious.
