OK, to begin with, let me tell you the reason why the hiring manager is going to ask you the question, what makes you the best candidate for the job? Please take notes! 01:36

The hiring manager will ask you this tough interview question because they want to make sure you are a great fit for their team, and will quickly give them a positive return from your salary. They are paying you a salary each month and unless you convince them that you’re going to be a worthwhile investment, you won’t get hired. The onus is on YOU to convince the hiring manager in your answer that you are the BEST PERSON for the job!

OK, let me now tell you the 3 things to include in your answer to that question, what makes you the best candidate for the job before I give you my sample answers in a live interview! 02:20

#1. The first things to say in your answer is that you have READ THE JOB DESCRIPTION and your skills, qualities and knowledge are a perfect match.

The hiring manager has created the job description as a blueprint for the ideal candidate. Mentioning it your answer shows you are a serious contender for the position.

#2. The second thing to say in your answer to the question, what makes you the best candidate for the job, is that you are going to be a GREAT ROLE MODEL for the company.

Employees who are positive role models, set a good example for others to follow, and are positive and professional when interacting with customers or clients.

#3. And the third thing to say in your answer to the question, what makes you the best candidate for the job, is that YOU WILL DO SOMETHING IN THE ROLE TO HELP THE COMPANY INCREASE SALES OR SAVE MONEY.

If the hiring manager hears from your answer that your salary will be offset by your contribution to the company, they will definitely be interested in hiring you! For example, you could say you will be FRUGAL with company supplies and resources to help save money, or you will SUGGEST NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES they can sell to increase revenue!
